In this episode, we ask what the future of entertainment will be now that cinemas are losing money and most people aren't going there like they used to. Sure, the pandemic caused a major problem but this was inevitable. Going to the movies these days will cost you a kindey if you decide to buy the tickets and popcorn. It's become a lot more convenient, fun, and personalized when you can experience it at home. The technology is going in leaps and bounds that is enabling our enjoyment right in our homes. If it's not a big Christopher Nolan IMAX special there's really no point. From large TVs with surround sound we could go deeper into neural integration that will someday allow us to be the Avatar and live the movie that James Cameron showed us the first time. We debate if this possible and perhaps inevitable. The implications are huge but exciting for us, the consumer. My home-made popcorn is ready to pop for this future. Are you?
